Meet Aaron Reitz

Aaron Reitz has spent his life on the frontlines of our state’s and nation’s most important battles.

A graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Texas School of Law, Aaron spent five years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, during which he deployed to the Helmand Province of Afghanistan in defense of our freedom and the American way of life.

After graduating law school—where he led multiple nationally-recognized conservative legal organizations—Aaron practiced law at a major law firm in Houston, and then as a law clerk for now-Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court, Jimmy Blacklock. He then went on to serve under Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton as the Deputy Attorney General for Legal Strategy.

In this role, Aaron operated as Attorney General Paxton’s “offensive coordinator,” leading the state’s aggressive pushback against the Biden Administration’s abuses of power. In fact, Aaron helped the State of Texas sue the 46th President 46 times and establish Texas as one of the most effective bulwarks against the excesses of the Democrats. President Trump said of Aaron: “Aaron…led dozens of successful lawsuits against the lawless and crooked Biden Administration.”

Beyond Aaron’s Texas-versus-Biden legal campaign, Aaron also quarterbacked litigation, appeals, and investigations related to border security, illegal immigration, woke corporations, energy and the environment, Big Tech, pro-life, parental rights, women’s and girls’ privacy, Free Speech, the Second Amendment, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, Covid lockdowns, defending police, and election integrity.

Aaron knows the true test of a warrior is whether he shows courage in the most trying of times. When President Trump was looking for a champion to challenge the constitutionality of the 2020 presidential election, too many squishy Republicans all over the country were nowhere to be found. It was Aaron alongside Attorney General Paxton who took the lead to ensure Texas brought justice to a stolen election.

Following his time under Attorney General Paxton, Aaron went to serve as Senator Ted Cruz’s Chief of Staff. In that role, Aaron oversaw domestic policy, legislative, communications, administrative, Commerce Committee, Judiciary Committee, and Foreign Relations Committee teams, as well as several regional offices throughout the State of Texas. During his time as Chief, Aaron worked with Senator Cruz to enhance border security, deliver justice for American victims of illegal migrant crime, protect children online, and bring more jobs and investment to Texas.

After President Trump was re-elected in 2024, he nominated Aaron to be part of his team at the Justice Department under Attorney General Pam Bondi. In his nomination declaration, President Trump said that Aaron was a “true MAGA attorney” and a “warrior for the Constitution.” After getting through Senate confirmation—every Senate Democrat voted against him!—Aaron took over the DOJ’s Office of Legal Policy, which develops and implements the Department’s significant policy initiatives.

Aaron is married to his high school sweetheart and together they have four kids. Aaron is an active member of his church in Austin and remains in Marine Corps Reserve as a Major.

Aaron Reitz embodies the principles Texas was founded upon: courage, perseverance, and a refusal to bend the knee. He has stood in the trenches with the toughest conservatives and taken the incoming fire for us. He wears the battle scars proudly because Texas is the last stand. If we lose Texas, there is nowhere else to go. That is why we need a Marine to remind the radical left that you don’t mess with Texas. Semper Fi!
